Houses of Parliament – Your Voice, Your Future Programme
Kofi Josephs was invited to take part in the Your Voice, Your Future: Understanding Politics & Leadershipprogramme, a high-impact initiative hosted inside the Houses of Parliament. The programme, curated by Laura Kyrke-Smith MP and led by I. Stephanie Boyce, former President of The Law Society, was designed to empower young people from Aylesbury through leadership development and political engagement.
Kofi was selected as a panel speaker alongside senior government and legal leaders, including Susanna McGibbon(Treasury Solicitor and Permanent Secretary, Government Legal Department), Fiona Rutherford (Chief Executive, JUSTICE), and Sophie Jamieson (Senior Associate, Lewis Silkin LLP). Kofi’s contribution focused on the importance of lived experience in shaping leadership, emphasising how mental health, identity, and emotional resilience must form part of future leadership conversations. His message demonstrated that leadership value extends beyond formal qualifications, showing how personal journeys can inspire genuine systems change.
Speaking at the Houses of Parliament positioned Kofi as a powerful advocate for wellbeing, resilience, and youth empowerment, bringing his unique perspective from elite sport and mental health advocacy into one of the UK’s most influential spaces.
